Hold the Arsenic
I never thought I would find myself looking for old lace doilies, but lately, the idea of a group of them framed with black paper behind them seems like the perfect thing for my dining room. Maybe it's the Spirograph thing, or the snowflake exhibit I saw recently at the Chicago Museum of Science and Industry, but it seems to be in the collective unconscious, because this month's issue of Blueprint magazine has a feature about a cute little boutique with -- you guessed it -- framed lace doilies. www.ebay.com
